New lighting control for renovated Hotel Kungsträdgården
The newly renovated Hotel Kungsträdgården, The King’s Garden, in Stockholm opened its doors in 2015. Dating back to the 1700s, the building is home to both a hotel and a restaurant. The environments throughout the property have an inviting feel with lighting in a warm tone. The restaurant includes an atrium that offers the feeling of being outdoors and indoors at the same time. An impressive eye-catcher here is the gigantic chandelier hanging several meters in the air, offering a beautiful glow of light.
Seasonal lighting control
The lighting is controlled by means of DALI systems and drivers from Tridonic, through which various scenarios and schedules are created both in the atrium and outdoors for the facade lighting, which consists of LEDtape from Welight and drivers from Tridonic. Eight different scenes are used during the day, and these can be changed to suit the season. Being able to control the lighting based on the season was an important aspect due to the different levels of daylight shining through the glass roof of the atrium in the summer, spring/autumn and winter. The staff can also control the lighting manually using scenes such as “Event” and “Cleaning”.
