Lumitech logo

LUMITECH

LUMITECH has extensive expertise in LED technology. It was founded in 1997 in Jennersdorf, Austria as a spin-off from the technical university in Graz, with the goal of delivering sustainable lighting technology for tomorrow. In 2007, LUMITECH was awarded the Austrian ‘Staatspreis’ for innovation for its development of PI LED® technology.

LUMITECH offers LED systems for general lighting, primarily based on PI LED® technology, which has a high level of efficiency and colour rendering and enables colour temperature adjustment from a single LED light source. Since November 2012, Lumitech has taken over responsibility from Tridonic for linear LED solutions for commercial food freezers, refrigerators and display cases, as well as shelf lighting for all types of food products, including accessories such as lenses, profiles, etc. Factors such as colour rendering, colour temperature, and colour spectrum are particularly important to the presentation of different types of food, such as fish, meat, and dairy products. Lighting food products with the right type of LED light source can increase both the attractiveness of the products and their life span, thereby having a positive impact on sales. Lumitech’s LED solutions are flexible and can be adjusted to meet individual lighting requirements for different types of products and shops.
