Tridonic launches LED drivers with lumDATA
Tridonic has launched LED drivers with the label “lumDATA” that comply with the three essential data specifications of the industry standard D4i: DALI-2 Parts 251, 252 and 253, making it possible to offer additional data points compared to conventional DALI drivers.
Tridonic has introduced the label lumDATA for there dimmable LED drivers. It has brought together the three essential D4i data specifications, namely DALI-2 Part 251, 252 and 253. They regulate the storage and distribution of device data, vital data and consumption data. This in turn facilitates asset management, energy management, fault diagnosis and maintenance. All essential for the majority of construction projects.
With lumDATA Tridonic gives the possibility to access interesting data from dimmable LED drivers that can be read by DALI-2 Application Controllers in regular DALI-2 installations indoors. LED drivers with lumDATA makes it possible for projects that do not require the complete D4i specifications to be provided with diagnostic functions that can’t be done with conventional DALI drivers.
Luminaire identification data according to DALI-2 Part 251 makes it easier to assign the luminaires during installation and operation and for asset management which provides the basis for efficient monitoring by the facility manager but also facilitate commissioning of the luminaires at the construction site.
Energy data according to the DALI-2 Part 252 store and forward the energy data of each luminaire. Building owners, tenants and facility managers are thus able to monitor and report energy consumption across the entire lighting installation.
Diagnostic data according to DALI-2 Part 253 gives insights into diagnostic data such as the hours of operation and driver temperature of each luminaire. This simplifies complaint management and fault readouts from faulty devices.
lumDATA LED drivers give end customers the opportunity to continually monitor and optimise their lighting systems.
